We’re having an End-of-Summer Studio Sale this Friday afternoon and Sunday for those in the Chicago area. Our studio is generally not open to the public but a few times a year we open it up for sales. If you don’t live nearby but would like to take advantage of the bargains, feel free to call, fax or email orders. All orders received between now and Sunday evening will be given the sale prices but next week we resume regular pricing. See our website for swatches of the yardage that’s available for $6/yd. ALL FABRIC ON BOLTS IS $6/yd! Most of the fabric is not on the website but fabrics we’ve designed in the past are. Note we have kits of the Acadia quilt that’s on the cover of the current issue of Quilter’s Home and pictured above for the sale price of $56.70.
I recently purchased Quilts Made Modern. Can you tell me anything about the green chair on the cover?
Thank you!
Mary
@ Mary – We propped and styled the pictures for Quilts Made Modern as well as our next book, Transparency Quilts. I love to combine eras of furnishings and architectural detail so I thought it would be interesting to place one of our modern Ikea slipcovered dining room chairs in front of that 1920s fireplace. So the answer to your question is that we bought 6 of those chairs at Ikea 10 years ago. It came with that slipcover and we still love them. The color was so perfect for Beach Glass that I took it to the photo shoot just for that shot. They remain among the most comfortable dining room chairs I have ever sat in.
Thank you for the information. I love that chair!
