What a timely post! I'm crocheting a scarf right now (tunisian entrelac) and it's curling horribly. I'm hoping that some blocking will straighten it out. However, it's 50% wool, 25% bamboo and 25% nylon. Does anyone know if blocking will work on this yarn?

Hi thanks for this tutorial. Makes me realise I've been missing a trick as I've never blocked a scarf.

Do you use any detergent or conditioner in the water?

I was in denial about the need to block knitting, until I knitted a scarf that curled relentlessly. I have since been looking for a simple way to block it. This is it!

thanks for the visuals. I belong to a knitting group and there is always controversy about the "right way" to block. I like your method - makes sense!
